Thermopsis herb has an expectorant effect, providing a moderate irritant effect on the receptors of the gastric mucosa, reflexively increases the secretion of bronchial glands. The alkaloids contained in the grass of thermopsis (cytisine, methylcytisine, pachycarpin, anagirin, thermopsin, thermopsidin) have an exciting effect on the respiratory and, in high doses, on the emetic centers.
Sodium bicarbonate stimulates the secretion of bronchial glands, helps reduce the viscosity of sputum.
The components of the drug are well absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract. The maximum effect occurs 30-60 minutes after ingestion and lasts for 2-6 hours. It is excreted from the body by the kidneys, mucous membrane of the respiratory tract and bronchial glands.
Diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with sputum that is difficult to separate (tracheitis, bronchitis) – as part of complex therapy.
Hypersensitivity to the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase, children’s age (up to 12 years).
To improve liquefaction and sputum removal, it is recommended that you drink plenty of warm water.
Cough tablets do not affect motor vehicle driving and control mechanisms.

Dosage and administration
Inside, adults are prescribed 1 tablet 3 times a day. The course of treatment is within 3-5 days. The highest single dose in terms of thermopsis is 0.1 g (14 tablets).
The highest daily dose in terms of thermopsis is 0.3 g (42 tablets).
Children over 12 years old – 1 tablet 2-3 times a day.
The course of treatment is 3-5 days. The need for a second course is determined by the doctor.
Allergic reactions to nausea are possible.
Symptoms: nausea, vomiting.
