Bottle 30 ml.
Constipation or cases requiring relief of bowel movements (hemorrhoids, proctitis, anal fissures, preparation for surgical procedures, instrumental and radiological studies).
hypersensitivity to sodium picosulfate and other components of the drug
acute inflammatory bowel disease and acute diseases of the abdominal cavity (including acute appendicitis, nonspecific ulcerative colitis, peritoneal pain, srd) vomiting, which may indicate acute inflammatory diseases, severe dehydration
pregnancy (I trimester)
Precautions: elderly patients, hypokalemia, high levels of magnesium in the blood, patients with asthenia, II â III trimesters of pregnancy.
Like other laxatives, guttasil should not be taken daily for a long time. If necessary, daily use of laxatives should determine the cause of constipation. Long-term use of laxatives can lead to electrolyte imbalance and hypokalemia, as well as become addictive and constipation due to the effect of rebound.
Guttasil is effective in eliminating constipation in cancer patients receiving high doses of opioids.
The drug contains sorbitol, so it is not recommended to take it with patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms. In therapeutic doses, the drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with other mechanisms.
1 ml contains:
Active ingredient: sodium picosulfate monohydrate (in terms of sodium picosulfate) 7.5 mg
Excipients: sorbitol – 460 mg sodium methyl parahydroxybenzoate – 2 mg 1M solution of hydrochloric acid – water to pH 67 – water to pH 67 for injection – up to 1 ml.
From the skin: skin rash, urticaria, pruritus.
On the part of the water-electrolyte balance: loss of potassium, sodium and other electrolytes, dehydration is possible.
From the digestive system: dyspeptic symptoms, vomiting, nausea, cramping and abdominal pain, diarrhea, flatulence, pain in the stomach and anus, increased intestinal motility, which pass with a decrease in the dose of the drug.
From the side of the immune system: allergic reactions, angioedema.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, fatigue, drowsiness, cramps.
Electrolyte imbalance may result in decreased cardiac glycoside tolerance. Diuretics or corticosteroids may increase the severity of hypokalemia, caused by the use of guttasil in high doses. Simultaneous treatment with antibiotics can reduce the laxative effect of the drug.
Symptoms: high doses of Guttasil can cause fluid stools, cramps (colic) in the abdomen and clinically significant disorders of water-electrolyte balance (hypokalemia, loss of other electrolytes and fluid), ischemic mucosa. Prolonged overdose leads to the development of chronic diarrhea and abdominal pain, hypokalemia, secondary hyperaldosteronism, kidney damage and development of nephrolithiasis, metabolic alkalosis, hypokalemia, and muscle weakness may result from hypokalemia.
Treatment: gastric lavage, appointment of enterosorbents (activated carbon), symptomatic treatment (correction of water-electrolyte balance, appointment of antispasmodics).
In a dark place, at 15-25 ° C.
