Pharmacological action of
NSAIDs, a derivative of propionic acid. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic effects. The mechanism of action is associated with the inhibition of COX activity – the main enzyme of the metabolism of arachidonic acid, which is a precursor of prostaglandins, which play a major role in the pathogenesis of inflammation, pain and fever.
The pronounced analgesic effect of ketoprofen is due to two mechanisms: peripheral (indirectly, through suppression of prostaglandin synthesis) and central (due to inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central and peripheral nervous system, as well as the effect on the biological activity of other neurotropic substances that play a key role in the release of mediators of pain in the spinal cord). In addition, ketoprofen has anti-bradykinin activity, stabilizes lysosomal membranes, and causes a significant inhibition of neutrophil activity in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Suppresses platelet aggregation.
Joint syndrome (rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gout) symptomatic treatment of inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system (periarthritis, arthrosinovitis, tendonitis, tendosynovitis, bursitis, lumborgia, pain, neuralgia, lumbago, pain) Uncomplicated injuries, in particular sports, dislocations, sprain or rupture of ligaments and tendons, bruises, post-traumatic pains.
As part of the combination therapy of inflammatory diseases of veins, lymphatic vessels, lymph nodes (phlebitis, periphlebitis, lymphangitis, superficial lymphadenitis).
For oral administration: erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract in the acute phase, aspirin triad, severe dysfunction of the liver and / or kidneys III trimester of pregnancy up to 15 years of age (for retard tablets), increased sensitivity to ketoprofen and salicylates.
For rectal administration: a history of rectal proctitis and bleeding.
For external use: weeping dermatoses, eczema, infected abrasions, wounds.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug Arthrosilen in the third trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated. In the first and second trimesters of pregnancy, the drug Arthrosilen should be used with caution and under the supervision of a physician.
If you need to use the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.
Women planning a pregnancy should refrain from taking Arthrosylene, as while taking it, the probability of egg implantation may decrease.
Active ingredients: ketoprofen lysine (ketoprofen lysine salt) – 15 mg, which corresponds to the content of ketoprofen – 9.375 g.
Excipients: polysorbate 80 – 4 g, propylene glycol – 4 g, povidone lavender-nerolium – 0.2 g, benzyl alcohol – 0.3 g, purified water – up to 100 ml, propane-butane mixture – 1.25 g.
Dosage and administration
Set individually depending on the clinical situation.
Applied orally, in / m, in / in (as an infusion), rectally or externally in the corresponding dosage forms.
Side effects of the
Digestive system: epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, constipation or diarrhea, anorexia, gastralgia, liver dysfunction rarely – erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, bleeding and perforation of the gastrointestinal tract.
From the side of the central nervous system: headache, dizziness, tinnitus, drowsiness.
From the urinary system: impaired renal function.
Allergic reactions: rarely, skin rash – bronchospasm.
Local reactions: when used in the form of suppositories, irritation of the rectal mucosa is possible, painful bowel movements when applied in the form of a gel – itching, skin rash at the site of application.
With the simultaneous use of ketoprofen with other NSAIDs, the risk of developing erosive-ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract and bleeding with antihypertensive agents (including beta-blockers, inhibitors, inhibitors, diuretics) – possibly reducing their action with thrombolytics – increasing the risk of bleeding.
At simultaneous use with acetylsalicylic acid it is possible to decrease the binding of ketoprofen with blood plasma proteins and increase its plasma clearance with heparin, ticlopidine – increase the risk of bleeding with lithium preparations – it is possible to increase the concentration of lithium in plasma due to the decrease in plasma.
When used with diuretics, the risk of kidney failure is increased due to a decrease in renal blood flow caused by the inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and against hypovolemia.
When co-administered with probenecid, a decrease in ketoprofen clearance and its binding to blood plasma proteins with methotrexate is possible – an increase in the side effect of methotrexate is possible.
When co-administered with warfarin, severe, sometimes fatal bleeding may occur.
No cases of overdose with Artrozilen have been reported at this time.
In the event of an overdose, symptomatic therapy, monitoring of respiratory and cardiovascular activity should be performed. There is no specific antidote. Hemodialysis is ineffective.
The drug should be stored in a dark place out of the reach of children at temperatures up to 25 ° C.
